Baby Carter #2 is on the way & You’re Invited To Our Gender Reveal!

If you’re reading this blog post, then you probably heard from one of my social media channels! And if you haven’t guessed by now we are welcoming Baby Carter #2!! And Tonight on my YouTube channel you will find out what we are having!!

Virtual Gender Reveal

Virtual Gender Reveal for Baby Carter#2

I cannot believe I have been holding this secret in! Y’all to be honest I found out super early (like 2 weeks into the pregnancy) and I am currently 17 weeks! Ekkk, so you know how hard it was to keep this a secret, especially since I have been driving content to my Instagram account.

I decided that I wanted to combine the announcement and the gender reveal because I thought it would be fun to get you guys involved in this overall experience.

Adrian and I were instructed (by my Doctor) to keep our Gender Reveal virtual, seeing as though we are in a world-wide pandemic and pregnant women are at high-risk. When I found out that I couldn’t have an in person gender reveal, my heart sank quite a bit, but of course I wanted to think of ways to make this a fun virtual experience.

So I decided to create a beautiful virtual experience for our guests and at the bottom show my readers and new expectant moms how to turn your your virtual gender reveal into a fun an interactive experience your guest will love!

We received our cake from this amazing baker here in Houston Texas! Her name is Erica and her company is called Wink by Erica! She added a fun Gender Reveal balloon at the top of the cake! The cake was the perfect size!

Gender Reveal inspiration
We set out a fun display table with bottles of champagne, cookies and the gender reveal invitation box that your guests received before the event.

The calligraphy was done by Lindsey from Yellow Rose Calligraphy. She provided the beautiful cocktail/mocktail menu and added a special touch to the champagne bottles with baby carter. The cookies went along with the theme and were provided by Lady Bird Houston! The detailing on the cookies were absolutely beautiful and they tasted delicious!

How to Hold a Virtual Baby Gender Reveal

I created the balloon display myself which only cost me $15 from Amazon! I will share those details in a later posts. But the overall experience for the guests turned out to be such a fun time!

One thing that I recommend is creating a gender reveal invitation box to give to your family and friends! This invitation box can include fun items to prepare your guest for the gender reveal! To make it even more interactive we decided to have a fun cocktail recipe card for our guest to participate in while on the zoom call!

So what’s included in the box:

A miniature bottle of prosecco with a fun Recipe Card – Add Calligraphy to elevate the details. Calligraphy was designed by Yellow Rose Calligraphy

A bag of pink and blue cotton candy. (Guest got to chose which color they wanted and while on zoom we would show guest how to make their cocktail)

A beautiful/ delicious cookie (Designed by Lady Bird Houston)

A fun scratch off that would reveal the gender (after we popped the balloon) (That I got from Etsy)

We recorded everything and thanks to my amazing photographer/ videographer we were able to put together an awesome video to share with you so that you could experience the gender reveal as well! The video will go live tonight on my YouTube Channel below! So tell me what’s your guess?
