Dresses are a staple in any woman’s wardrobe and if you can wear the dress multiple times then you’ve scored. I love the idea of wearing dresses with a stretchy fabric that allows you to move around and as your belly grows the dress can conform to your growing body!

I’ve noticed that my belly has grown quite a bit over the last couple of months. It’s funny because I’ve realized I don’t have many transitional pieces that I can wear while pregnant. However, I’ve found myself buying more items that can work for during and after my pregnancy. I read a few blog posts about recycling items in your closet, but I don’t have too many dresses that I can wear as of right now! I have found some creative ways to wear some of my old pieces which I will share with you in a later blog post. But today I want to share my tips on finding transitional dresses that you can wear during and after pregnancy.

When your selecting dresses that can be worn during and after pregnancy you should always look for the following things:

First things first, always go with the maxi dress! They’re comfortable and tend to be loose flowing fabric that can accommodate your growing belly. Second when you buy a dress don’t buy for size, always size up! Remember you will keep growing so you want to be able to fit the pieces you purchase. As I mentioned in a previous post, I love anything off the shoulder it can minimize the appearance of large breast!
