Happy Monday! I again, like many others took a little hiatus from blogging. Still trying to find the happy balance between, work and blog life. Nevertheless, I always find my groove when I am inspired by something. Recently I decided to get in my car and head to my favorite place of inspiration, the thrift store! Yes, ladies and gentleman, the place that drives my creativity and inspiration is my local second hand good will store. Why, you ask? Because it challenges me to think outside of the box when it comes to shopping. It sparks creativity when it comes to styling pieces. It can be simple, unique, eclectic you name it, and there is always something you can find at your local second-hand store.
I am a firm believer in mixing high and low end items from your wardrobe. This look is a reflection of that. I found this gorgeous satin blazer, which I wore as a blouse and mixed it with my Fashion Nova denim and Steve Madden Heels. I kept the look pretty simple, by adding a basic neutral clutch, my gold hoop earrings and some simple bracelet accessories to compliment the look.
Tip for shopping thrift- Find blouse materials such as satins, cottons, or silks and mix those pieces with your denim jeans. By adding your favorite heels, you’ve turned this simple $5 blouse into a upscale chic look, you can wear out with your friends.
While, this blouse is unique to me, I did find similar styles that you can add to your wardrobe below:
Did you like the ensemble? Where would you rock this look too? Do you all tend to thrift shop? If so, what are your favorite local thrift stores? Let me know in the comments below 🙂
